Victorian Bird Cages

He seems to like everyone else except me! He goes to bite me when I go near him. However once I put my shoulder bird bib on he still climbs on, excited concerning going for a ride I suppose. He then realized it was me and went to peck my neck, I growled at him and he stopped for a little whereas then visited peck me again. When I go to convey him some fruit or veggies he makes a lot of noise, shakes his head and really grabs the food and turns his back on me! Apparently some birds do that from time to time. He has done it before to my son and my self. He’s usually ok the following day, however I do marvel why he does this.

It absolutely was interesting though, that when he saw the bird bib he forgot that he was crabby with me and simply hopped onto my shoulder! Since having the bibs I do not let him onto my shoulder while not having one on as I can’t stand having bird pooh on my clothing anymore, they are nice!! We tend to use 3 shoulder bibs. One for putting on, one as a spare and one within the wash.

Well it’s bedtime for Charlie now, however he does not suppose it is! He simply does not wish to induce into his bird cage. He’s squawking and grabbing the cage and running onto the top of it. This is often what he will at EVERY bedtime! Once we finally get him in, he pecks at the door and shakes it. The door is left open all day, it is only closed at bedtime. We have a tendency to had to put pegs on each doors and where his food and water goes as he opens them up. Once we place his cover over him and flip the light off he settles down and does not make a sound! (Until morning).

My son and his girlfriend are thus patient with him, however I suppose he is just spoiled. They keep talking to him and saying again and again once more, it’s bedtime Charlie, come on Charlie, go to bed Charlie. They expect him to merely walk in there and sit on the perch and head to sleep, I think they eventually wish to say visit bed Charlie and he will go himself!! (I say, simply put him in there)! He’s solely 9 months recent and not saying several words at the moment, I hate to think what he can say when he learns to speak! He already shakes him head when he doesn’t wish to do something.

A ton of birds have periods of being crabby simply like Charlie, I think the manner to stop them from being crabby and attacking you, is merely simply to keep them amused. They’re simply like youngsters and want to be occupied all of the time. Offer them lots of attention plus a wide selection of objects to play with and amendment them regularly.
